Team feedback

Team feedback is a feedback format that is used especially in agile teams to improve teamwork. That’s because teamwork is influenced by various psychological processes. These determine how communication and collaboration take place on a personal and factual level. The goal of team feedback is to record, analyze and make understandable the cooperation in the team. The entire team is the focus of the feedback. Team feedback thus provides a starting point for team development.

The feedback is of course anonymous. In this way, it cannot and should not replace personal communication within the team. However, regular, standardized feedback processes can support teams in addressing various topics and thus improve teamwork. Especially in the fast moving environment of agile teams, team feedback is therefore very suitable to support the success of the team. It’s important to discuss the results with the entire team after the feedback. These discussions can be led by the manager or a person who is not part of the team. This includes coaches for example. Following the discussion, the team can initiate changes together.
