User states

This article is relevant for users with the right “Manage users” or administrators.

Users can be put into certain states, that applies different rules than for users who are not in that state.

The following states can be selected (with appropriate permissions) in the “Users” tab when editing a selected user

1. Has no password

User has no local password, thus no local login is possible.
The state can be deactivated by requesting via “Forgot password”, provided that a local login is activated.

2. Force password change

Forces the change of the local password at the next login (not SSO relevant).

3. Do not synchronize

User is not changed, overwritten or deleted during user data import via interface or manual “.csv” import.
Manual changes take effect anyway.

4. Dummy email address

No e-mails will be generated for users; Instead of that, an access code upon the invitation will be generated.

Primarily used for Blue Collar employees without an email address

5. E-mails without “private”

E-mails are not tagged as “private” (only relevant for Outlook)

The state of a user has no influence on the availability of SSO!
